We offer you 15 different class types - yes 15 which is why Pilates Realm covers all your pilates dreams; even dreams you haven’t had yet.
Reformer vs Tower
We understand that sometimes class descriptions can be vague, we have tried to simplify ours for you so it is clear what the class is about. You are welcome in any class but we do encourage beginners to try a few beginners classes to learn the basics in a class where everyone is learning too.
Pilates reformer is without doubt what most people know pilates for however there is more to pilates than just the reformer which is why we also have tower equipment to increase diversity in movement keeping you forever challenged and fit. The reformer offers spring based tension on a moveable carriage adjustable to suit the movements, giving you a multitude of benefits; strength, flexibility, mobility and deep mind body connection.
The towers offers the same benefits but due to the nature of the base it can feel more stabilising (perfect for pregnancy and older demographics).It also offers different planes of movement which is essential for creating aligned posture, and it gives the most divine rotations ever.
The base is super lux and soft making it the perfect place for mat pilates, no more laying on the floor for you. Our barre class is also on this base making your feet the happiest of all barre babes.
Booty
Our booty class is going to sculpt the peach and then some. As the largest muscle in the body the peach can without doubt take the spice. With a plethora of exercises targeting the glutes we are sure you are going to walk out feeling like your peach is perky.
Barre
Our barre class is a combination of pilates and ballet, minus the French terminology and extra on the music and spice. This class is cardio cardio cardio with the choice of adding 1kg weight, its quick moving and before your leg feels like it can not take one more rep its moved onto another exercise - its fast and its fun, you will walk out feeling like you have had a night dancing with friends or maybe it was an early morning.
Mat
Our mat class is where its at; the birthplace of pilates was on the mat and without the lag time of having to change equipment, this class just flows from one glorious move to another. Our small props are added to the class to enrich your movement and show you just how capable your body is without any fancy equipment. You will walk out impressed with your talented self.
Pelvic Floor
Our Pelvic floor class has been designed with a pelvic floor occupational therapist with the aim to provide gentle movement targeting the pelvic floor and all that it encompasses. The focus in this class is to look to restore and bring mindfulness to the area. Perfect for post natal mummas and menopausal woman, or anyone who feels that this class may suit their needs. You will walk out feeling like you have given yourself the love and attention you deserve.
Flow
Our flow class offers you an opportunity to focus on your form whilst allowing you an opportunity to challenge yourself in one of our many layers during the class. We focus on pilates principles and foundation movements whilst striving for better mobility and flexibility. You will leave the class feeling elongated, lengthened and connected.
Hustle
Our Hustle class as the name suggests is going to get the heart rate up in a super fun and challenging class, think everything our flow class offers with the added element of spice. And when we say spice what we mean is, it’s going to make your muscles feel very very warm and your mind focus on the mind body connection. You will walk out with a glow that is for sure.
Beginners
Our beginners class is going to set you up for success, we aim to teach you the foundation movements and principles that pilates is built upon. With this understanding it will carry you through your practise to a level of deep confidence in your own body and its capabilities. We pride ourselves on giving you the best pilates experience and it starts right here; at the beginning. You will walk out proud of your achievments.
Stretch
Our stretch class is here to unwind you, to take your body to new lengths and relieve tension you may be holding. We will show you how to find the edges of your own range of flexibility whilst allowing the nervous system to settle down. A perfect way to switch off and come back home to yourself. You will walk out feeling blissful and relaxed.
Strength
Our strength class is designed to compliment your pilates practise, to increase bone density, tone your muscles and allow you to carry your shopping bags in one trip. Our dumbbells are all you need along with compound and isolation movements. Due to the nature of the class it’s also a perfect opportunity to have chat as there is less concentration required than in the pilates classes, yes we said that. You will walk out like you just nailed a weights session.
Mums & Bubs
Our Mums & Bub’s class is designed for new mums and the mini’s. This class will allow mum to move with Bub in a gentle and supportive manner. Bub is welcome to be with you or in the pram and our teachers are not shy of a cuddle either. This class also welcomes mums to be in their later stages of their birth journey. An opportunity to connect with other women and grow our next generation of pilates pros. You will walk out and into a coffee date next door with your new mum friends.
Boomers
Our Bones Class is created for our Boomers, it’s a gentle class aimed at increasing mobility whilst being mindful of osteoporosis and arthritis and any other restriction. The tower equipment is perfect for this class and as our equipment is set up off the floor you can rest assured that getting onto the bed won’t be a concern. The perfect way to gently support your body and practise on your balance. You will walk out with a sense of accomplishment and maybe even a skip in your step.
Privates, Duo’s & Clinical sessions
In addition to the classes we also offer tuition in a private setting. Perhaps you feel more comfortable in a session where it is just you and the teacher, this may be to build confidence or simply because you prefer that kind of setting. You may wish to share this time with a partner or bestie. Or perhaps you have an injury that you want to rehab and the classes are not the right setting of you. Whatever be the case the session is tailored to your needs and pilates desires. You will walk out the star of the hour.
